Michelle Kathleen Bonasera, 19
Michelle Kathleen Bonasera, 19, of Coeur d'Alene, passed away in the early afternoon of Feb. 13, 2011, while returning to the University of Idaho. On this day the world lost a beautiful ray of sunshine.
She was born June 7, 1991, in Coeur d'Alene, to David and Vicki (Lontz) Bonasera.
Michelle grew up in and loved Coeur d'Alene where she was a student at Bryan Elementary, Canfield Middle and Coeur d'Alene High School class of 2009. She was a member of DECA and played volleyball for the Vikings where she met so many friends and made so many memories. She was a student at the University of Idaho where she was a Kappa Delta. She was studying Exercise Science to one day become a Physical Therapist.
Michelle worked during the summer running the "Snack Shack" at the boardwalk marina and also helped her Dad at the family business, Bonasera Mobile Repair.
Michelle was known for her sparkling brown eyes and gorgeous smile that could lighten a room. Her laughter was contagious and full of mischief. Although small in stature she was large in presence. She loved boating, riding snowmobiles with her Dad and surprising everyone with how tough a 5-foot-1-inch girl could be.
She is survived by her parents, Dave and Vicki; her favorite brother, Blake; grandparents Skip (deceased), Kathy Bonasera, Jess (deceased) and Pearl Lee; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins along with many friends and her most treasured companion, Nala.
In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to the Kootenai Humane Society in respect for Michelle's love of animals.
You will be missed my sweet daughter and sister. The love we felt from you in the too short of time you were here will last a lifetime.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at the Coeur d'Alene Bible Church. Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene Chapel, is in care of the arrangements.
