UNIONS: Barriers to selling your soul
Having read earlier in the week how the Idaho state party of “only the rich are worthy” want to crush the last bits of unions and then how they want to eliminate public education starting with kindergarten made me consider how they might be on to something. I mean let’s face it: The ability of the lower classes to read only causes discontent of ones place in life. If you read about better things you might want them.
By getting rid of unions it would be very easy to bring back company stores and company housing. Just think how easy life would be, I’m sure you could start being a productive part of society by age 10 and with no school to worry about the company bosses would only work you 12 hours a day and only 6 days a week after all you need Sunday to go to the company church to pray for your masters and count your blessings.
The company store and housing would only deduct from your pay a little more than you make which is a good thing because you would have to stay loyal to the company to pay off your debt to them and there wouldn’t be any extra money for you to get in trouble with. With this plan we have done away with joblessness, homelessness and hunger and that can’t be bad. Oh wait I seemed to have left out what we do with those that are too old or too infirmed to work. I guess the answer to that is who cares.
