LEVY: Look at lovable Lakes

I would like to thank the Coeur d'Alene School District taxpayers for their previous support in past school levies. Lakes Magnet Middle School is one example of how your support has provided for district students, families, and staff. As a result of previous levy support, Lakes is now an excellent facility. Each of Lakes' expanded and renovated classrooms has updated technology along with fresh paint, new lighting and furniture.

Taxpayer dollars have helped Lakes staff to provide quality academic programs for students. Remedial programs to assist students with learning challenges in reading and math are well established. Advanced learning opportunities are offered at every grade level. Lakes now offers magnet classes in the areas of health, science, and the arts in addition to the general curriculum. Lakes students also participate in a variety of student activities as a result of continued taxpayer support. From cross country running in the fall to wrestling and basketball in the winter to track in the spring, Lakes students are able to be involved in meaningful activities.

Thank you for your support.
