Jay W. Simpson Sr., 61

Jay passed away from multiple complications due to diabetes.

Jay was born in Spokane, Wash.

Jay married Jacqueline Wines on May 10, 1969. Together they raised three children; Jim, Angie and Jay Jr.

Jay and Jacquie moved to Post Falls in 1978. Jay was employed with the Jacklin Seed Company where he worked for 23 years.

Jay and Jacquie were actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America; volunteering and giving to their community.

Jay enjoyed: hunting, fishing, camping, cooking and gardening.

Jay and Jacquie moved to Hayden in 1998 after Jay's retirement from the Jacklin Seed Company.

Suddenly life changed for Jay. Jacquie passed away on Dec. 13, 2000. They had been married for 31 years.

Four years later Jay found love again when he met Sharon Foster. They married June 11, 2005. Jay and Sharon enjoyed their time riding ATV, camping and gardening at their Post Falls home. The greatest joy came from spending time with their family and extended family from Real Life Ministries Church.

Jay is preceded in death by Jacquie Simpson, parents Ed and June Simpson and brother Ed Simpson.

Jay is survived by his wife, Sharon Simpson; his children: Jim Wines and wife Linda, daughter Angie Anderson and husband Cecil, Jay Simpson Jr. and wife Stephanie and step-son Chris Foster.

Jay is also survived by three brothers, one sister, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and countless other family members and friends.

Memorial services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at Real Life Ministries in Post Falls.
