ABUSE: We can't just do nothing
According to a newspaper article of Jan. 23, 2011, "you do not anticipate filing any charges, in the near future, against the known dog beater." This disgusting occasion happened over six months ago.
The question, which begs to be answered, is, WHY NOT? What are you waiting for?
As a reminder, a primary portion of your job description is to protect the people of this county and to enforce the law. The perpetrator here broke the law. Why is he not being punished? Are you intimating that it is all right to behave in this manner? The subject lady lives alone. Do you think she was not threatened and afraid when this menacing moron was performing his senseless act? I wonder what your mind-set would be if this had happened to your mother or wife when she was alone?
This perpetrator needs to be punished, hopefully, to the full extent of the law. Then he might give more thought about repeating this act. If he is not punished, people knowing what to expect from your office may certainly react in a more extreme manner, if he shows up in their driveway.
Get off the fence and do your job!
With the hope that your response is positive and immediate.
