RISK: It's part of our freedom

| February 4, 2011 9:00 PM

To all policy makers: It should be obvious to anyone brave enough to think that the public is screaming for reduced government spending and more personal freedom (the principles on which this great REPUBLIC prospered) rather than reducing services to the people who have already paid for them, try reducing agencies which obstruct the prosperity of free and independent entrepreneurs.

The only legitimate job of government is to guarantee and protect these personal freedoms, and protect us from any force which may try to deprive us of them. There was never any attempt by our Founding Fathers to guarantee success for any person, or enterprise, but only the freedom to attempt it.

All decisions include risk, and freedom includes the freedom to fail. Starvation was not uncommon in the early and most productive days of our surprising economic growth, but good decisions overcame the poor ones, and those who made them developed this country into the world leader. To SURVIVE TODAY, we must eliminate all agencies which stand in the way of freedom, and allow those who fail to simply fail at their own expense. Those who can't or won't earn a good income should learn to live on what they are really worth or go under (also at their own expense).

Yes, I do realize that I will probably be one of the latter, but I WILL GLADLY RISK IT FOR THE SAKE OF MY COUNTRY! Won't you?
