MEDICARE: Here's an idea - euthanasia

Compromise between far right Republicans and ultra liberal Democrats? Well here's a proposal that could help a little to save Medicare/Medicaid.

We all know what it costs to have long-term insurance, which is why we don't have it, at least the poor and lower middle class. So instead we rely on our Medicare/Medicaid to pay the bills; after all, you taxpayers are not going to let all of us who need their diapers changed 10 to 12 times a day and have to be spoon-fed maybe for years die. Plus the medical services that could cost hundreds of thousands of dollars per year.

So here's a compromise that could save millions, maybe billions of dollars each year by all but the far right Bible-thumpers and the liberal ACLU. It won't make any difference to the rich unless they pay taxes.

If you so choose while you're still of sound mind and will, elect euthanasia and in return the government will give your surviving spouse or dependent children a set amount on your demise. You win, the government wins and the taxpayer wins. Of course we all know this proposal would never happen because we want to believe our present system will last forever. Well dream on, because things will change and it may not be that far off.
