WINTON: Veterans salute students

A great afternoon enjoying the outstanding students at Winton Elementary School performing songs, singing and dancing and all sorts of honors while remembering Pearl Harbor and those survivors from that day of infamy. Mrs. Nancy Mueller has these students so involved in honoring us visiting veterans that all we could do is tap our feet to the songs, listen to the two "radio announcers" and those students who read letters from ladies of that "Greatest Generation."

Winton students of all ages joined in the singing and signing and quite a few of us had tears in our eyes while we were so graciously entertained. My special thanks to all the staff and students of this great school who took the time to honor our veterans.
