William Harold 'Bill' Kenny, 56
William Harold "Bill" Kenny proceeded to his next adventure on Dec. 8, 2011, in Coeur d'Alene.
He was born June 10, 1955, to William Arthur "Bill" Kenny and Betty E. (Kenny) Barkubein in Moses Lake, Wash.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, William "Bill" Kenny; daughter Bethany Ann Kenny and nephew Jefferey Paul Calderon.
He is survived by the love of his life, Donna D. Kinne, of Post Falls; his sons, former Staff Sargent, U.S. Army, Thomas Craig Opland and his wife Melissa of Portland, Ore., and Anthony Allen Johnson of Coeur d'Alene; his mother, Betty E. Barkubein of Payson, Ariz.; his sisters, Katie E. Calderon and her husband Ron of Pine, Ariz., and Becky A. Lamont of Puyallup, Wash.; and his best hunting buddy, Magnum and countless friends across the country.
Bill graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School and remained a true North Idahoan, a hunter whose natural habitat was deep in the St. Joe tracking elk. He spent time exploring the woods, riding his four-wheeler and Harley with his beloved wife, Donna.
Bill was an avid reader and an enthusiast of history. A life accomplishment that Bill was working on was a book of his own life history. Despite his "wild man attitude" Bill was an educated, articulate, and gentle man which took many people by surprise.
Bill spent his professional life as a union carpenter. Among being a proud carpenter, Bill was an educator; he educated, trained and helped thousands of carpenters in the career field he humbly served for 36 years. He taught students through the union carpenter apprenticeship program and Job Corps in Washington state. Bill was most recently involved in the construction of the Kroc Center and many other buildings and structures throughout the Northwest dating back to 1976.
He asked no service beheld, for no one to grieve for him, but to celebrate his life and remember him as he was.
