ADS: Promoting broken government

What is the problem with our supposed national leaders? The Coeur d'Alene Press (Aug. 22) published an article re: the fact that the Social Security Disability system is on the verge of insolvency. Applications are up more than 50 percent over a decade ago. In addition, the 535 members of the Senate and the House are considering reducing benefits for current recipients of the "Regular" Social Security payments (which we paid into the system throughout our working lives), and reducing future benefits, plus raising the age at which a person may collect these "earned" payments.

AND YET THESE IDIOTS CONTINUE TO SPEND MILLIONS OF DOLLARS PER DAY, running those imbecilic TV commercials featuring Coeur d'Alene's own star, Patty Duke, and the "Dingo" from Star Wars. Those dumb, very wasteful and expensive commercials run several times per hour, every day, on dozens of channels, begging people to contact the Social Security Administration, to receive all of the benefits.

What the hell is the matter with these people who call themselves "Our Leaders?"
