Teresa Anne Stack (Welk), 65

Teresa Anne Stack (Welk), 65, of Hayden, died Aug. 16, 2011, at Kootenai Medical Center from a courageous battle with cancer. She died with her family and friends by her side. She attended North Central High School and later married Ron Stack.

Teresa raised her family in the Spokane/Coeur d'Alene area. She worked at the Flying J for 20-plus years until the restaurant closed early this year. Teresa enjoyed, family, work, gambling and traveling the western United States.

Teresa is survived by her close friend, Jeff Rutledge of Hayden; her sons, Shawn Stack (Lyndy) of Newman Lake, Wash., Calvin Stack (Jessica) of Athol; daughters Denise Braden (Ted) of Athol, Stacie Hayden (Mike) of Spokane Valley, Wash.; seven grandchildren, Nick, Bryce Cameron, Shalyn, Hannah, Jenna, Emily; great-granddaughter Sofia and sisters, Dee Nickel, Helen Garcia, Louise Torker, Fran Snow, Marcie Paliekara, Mary Gallagher and Kathy Pierce.

A memorial will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, at Yates Funeral Home, 373 Hayden Ave. There will be a gathering following the service.
