Athena Gabriella Ayotte, 3 months

Athena Gabriella Ayotte - daughter of Kyle Ayotte and Christen Petersen, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011. Athena was born May 5, 2011.

Athena brought joy and happiness to everyone she touched. In her short time here on Earth she touched many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends. Her life was a brief gift to us that will live on as her heart valves were donated and received by those who were in need.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Kaedan; uncle James Petersen of Las Vegas, Nev.; uncle Justin Petersen of Coeur d'Alene; grandmother Laiza Petersen of Spokane Valley; maternal grandfather Eric Petersen of Spokane Valley; maternal grandmother Cyndi Petersen of Coeur d'Alene; aunt Amanda Langsett of Spokane Valley; paternal grandfather David Ayotte of Spokane; paternal grandmother Vicky O'Reilly of Seattle; grandfather Ron O'Reilly of Seattle and great-grandmother Dorothy Petersen of Youngstown, Ohio.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3115 N. 15th St., Coeur d'Alene, ID 83815, with Pastor Dan Brandel officiating. A reception will follow at the church.
