HOMELESS: Help starts right here

Dr. Jill Biden just went to Somalia to help the starving population. This news really prompted another comment from myself about homelessness and starvation in our own community.

Living in a resort town, the homelessness situation is very complicated. However, one thing we cannot do is ignore it. I am seeing articles on a regular basis about this issue. The community needs to continue to appreciate, recognize and support organizations such as the numerous locations for free meals, food banks, free clothing centers and most of all health care. Better health promotes employment.

Homelessness will not be resolved overnight, but for those who are helping we can house and employ one person at a time. Jill Biden needs to help people in her own backyard first. She is truly ignoring the issue.
