CHAMBER: Don't start from scratch
The Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce is in the process of determining who best to lead the organization and, as a result, the local business community into the future.
Although the previous CEO did not lead for an extended period, his departure has provided another opportunity to identify a person with a good fit for this community and with vision to create a better environment for future growth.
With the best interest of the chamber in mind and as a suggestion to save money that is always involved in a national search, why not consider contacting the four finalists from the process that was just done about 18 months ago to determine if any might still be interested in the position? Their credentials and a sense of leadership skills and understanding of the needs of this community should still be relatively fresh in the minds of those involved in the selection process. Just a suggestion.
