CRUNCH: Beware bikes at the beach

| August 10, 2011 10:00 PM

I would like to warn fellow bikers if they ride their bikes to Honeysuckle Beach they take an awful chance of a smashed bike.

On Tuesday, Aug. 2, I rode my bike down to go swimming at the lake. I locked my bike on the bike rack. When I came back, my bike was still locked but someone had run over my front wheel, bending it. No note, no anything.

I remember when people used to be responsible, leave a note with their phone number when they damaged anything.

In my opinion they need to move the bike rack away from the parking lot. At any rate, I will not take my bike back down to Honeysuckle again.
