ART: Time for a gut check

After reading the article, "Art for an Unglamorous Spot," I understand that the city is seeking artists to decorate the wastewater treatment facility. I think that it is a fantastic idea! It got my mind wandering.

I myself am a local, native, Coeur d'Alene artist and I'd love to share my ideas with the public. What if we were to create art to match that environment? I think that I could make an amazing intestinal sculpture to showcase that facility. In fact, I know that I could create a new work of art every day. We could even sell reproduction copies with a scratch and sniff feature. We could call the series: "Crap of the day" or a French name such as "Coeur d'Alene Poupon."

It would make a visit to the wastewater treatment plant entertaining. It would be an extra sensory experience where you can use sight, touch AND smell. Perhaps then, I would earn my spot in our art community. I want to be a world renowned intestinal sculpture artist. I may have just found my calling.
