Karla Jo (Brunette) England, 52
Karla Jo (Brunette) England was born in Deer Lodge, Mont., on May 24, 1958, to Elbe James Brunette and Jerry M. McCormick. Surrounded by her family she was victorious in her six-year battle with cancer and returned to be with her Heavenly Father on April 16, 2011.
Karla graduated from Drummond High School as valedictorian and then attended the University of Montana where she majored in mathematics and general studies. She later moved to Spokane and married Tim England and together raised their family in Coeur d'Alene after being sealed in the Seattle Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was a devoted wife and mother who always placed the needs of her family ahead of her own. In addition Karla was a successful business owner in the Coeur d'Alene area for more than 22 years and gave generously to the community.
Karla enjoyed life to its fullest by way of camping, sewing, quilting, jewelry design and all other manner of crafting, most of which she would simply give away to others. She was a kind and compassionate individual who loved spending time with her family and dear friends and could never say no to a good fabric or craft sale.
She is survived by her husband, Tim England; children Alyssa England of Poulsobo, Wash., Nathaniel and Emma England of Dalton Gardens; step-children Courtney Scioly and Sarah England of Spokane and Seth England of Barrow, Alaska; sister Kerry Standish of Spirit Lake and Kay McGregor of Maxville, Mont. Her nephews and nieces include Chad and Jerime Stuck, Laurie, Duane and Eric McGregor and Celeste Wilson.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all family, friends and medical professionals for their loving and compassionate care of our sweet wife, mother and sister.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2011, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2293 W. Hanley Ave., Coeur d'Alene.
