RESPONSE: Letter was a long rant

Regarding Mike Marten's letter in the Sunday column. It was a long rant, to be sure. Opinion letters usually lose their reader after about two paragraphs. That's why most columns advise brevity.

This one is a really good example of a Huffington Blog rant. Why so much rancor? Why all the name calling? Logic works better.

Under the present administration, our country is becoming more and more divided. The promise was for more unity, which doesn't appear to be developing. What a shame.
