REALTOR: A very positive influence

I very much enjoyed the article on Jerry Sparling, the deaf Realtor, in Friday, March 25's paper. Jerry has been a very positive influence in my life and in many other people's lives.

I've found it easier to cope with some of my own disabilities with Jerry's help. Jerry took me skiing earlier this winter, has taught me how to use a cell phone, has gone with me to the Kroc Center, taken me swimming and to play basketball and assisted with my high school sports. He has volunteered his time and talents to help me and other people and I want to thank him for that.

It's gratifying to see Jerry overcome his own disabilities and be a successful Realtor, as well as give back to the community in so many selfless ways.
