NAVY: No more lawyers than ships

| April 1, 2011 10:00 PM

I do love the American Navy. The Navy Times reports that by 2015 the budget will cause major a JAG shortfall by 2015. It turns out with one lawyer to 263 sailors the Navy JAG is the lowest attorney ratio in the armed forces. I know some JAG will pen a comeback telling us how important a good JAG is to the Navy. JAGs breed JAGs. If we ever have an all out nuclear war, out from under the rabble will crawl cockroaches and lawyers. I really don't dislike attorneys. They just do not produce and live on other people's work. Just imagine how higher that ratio would be if every JAG was onboard a ship. By any measure, the Navy should have no more lawyers than it has ships.
