Women roll past NWC

COEUR d'ALENE - Nicole Medeiros scored twice, Heidi Mueller scored once and added two assists, and North Idaho College defeated Northwest College 4-0 on Friday.

"The game got rough in the second half," NIC coach Dan Hogan said. "Medeiros had to leave the game after an injury to her left ankle, which occurred as she was tackled with 10 minutes into the half. Later, starting forward Meagan Powell also had to leave after she took a hit to her left knee."

Melissa Hug also scored for NIC (5-2-1), which hosts the University of Idaho club team on Sunday.

Gavin Lafollette and Leonardo Mederios scored to give Northwest College an early two-goal cushion in a 4-1 win over North Idaho College.

Ethan Olson scored in the 32nd minute on an assist from Matt Lieggi for NIC (3-4-1), which hosts the University of Idaho club team on Sunday.
