TIMBERLAKE: Time to pull together

| September 24, 2010 10:00 PM

One thing I do agree with Sue Damon is that the news of the management agreement did come out kind of suddenly. But with the large turnouts, lots of audience questions, arguments and finger-pointing that was happening at all the meetings since February, I wouldn't want to second guess why or how they came to their decision. That's why they were elected. To make their best decisions for the district. They can't make everyone happy.

On another note, I believe there would be support for a fire levy, if needed, if we stay managed by Northern Lakes, which probably won't happen if Fish and Rudebaugh are recalled.

If the taxpayers of this fire district believe they have been misinformed by the petitioners of the recall petition and/or would like to see the uninterrupted operation of the management agreement with Northern Lakes you need to come show your support at the next meeting Oct. 18 at Athol Community Center at 6 p.m. before Northern Lakes decides we are too much turmoil to put up with. I personally wouldn't blame them. We need to put our problems and personal feelings behind us.
