County now posting arrest warrants online

People who have active warrants in Kootenai County, many eyes are now upon you.

All felony warrants as well as all misdemeanor warrants that have been issued since January of 2005 are listed on the Sheriff’s Office website.

Private citizens are not empowered to arrest a person on a warrant.  However, if anyone knows where a wanted person may be, they are encouraged to contact their local law enforcement agency or the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office at (208) 446-1300.

Law enforcement agencies are required to go through established procedures for confirming the current validity of a warrant prior to arresting any individual.
