Cd'A girls earn draw with Lewis-Clark

PREP GIRLS

SPOKANE - Emilee Cordon and Caelyn Orlandi scored one goal apiece as the Coeur d'Alene Vikings played to a 2-2 draw with the Lewis-Clark Tigers in a nonleague match Wednesday at Hart Field.

Christine Woeller and Summer Hammond each had four saves for Coeur d'Alene (4-3-1), which hosts University on Friday.

RATHDRUM - Travis Huffman scored two goals to lead the visiting Bengals past the Hawks in a nonleague match.

"They flat outplayed us today," Lakeland coach Nick Haynes said. "Lewiston is probably the most improved team I've seen this year. They were just able to outhustle us."

Sterling Jones had eight saves for Lakeland (1-8), which travels to Post Falls on Saturday.

SPOKANE - Kendra Johnson scored on an assist from Lateashea Currie in the 36th minute as the Community Colleges of Spokane defeated the Cardinals in a nonconference match.

"We came out really flat," NIC coach Dan Hogan said. "We were flat emotionally and it was tough to get going. Spokane has a good team also and ended up kind of fighting it out today. It was a tough game for us."

Lauren Gibson had four saves for NIC (3-2-1), which faces Northwest College on Saturday in Powell, Wyo.
