Two arrested, charged in thefts

POST FALLS - Two Coeur d'Alene residents were arrested on Sunday night after they were allegedly stealing items behind the Thrift Store, 1600 E. Seltice Way.

Andrea Roll, 27, was charged with possession of stolen property, a controlled substance (meth) and paraphernalia.

Dale Allen Ruperd II, 37, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and attempted petit theft.

Both suspects were found when officers responded to a possible burglary in progress.

Several stolen items were located in Ruperd's truck and in their possession, police said.

Roll has a 1-year-old child that was at a Post Falls residence, police said. The child was sheltered through the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.

High-speed chase ends in arrest

POST FALLS - A 41-year-old Spokane transient was arrested on Saturday night after leading police on a high-speed chase on eastbound Interstate 90 from the state line to Coeur d'Alene.

Vance Robert Campbell was arrested and booked into Kootenai County jail for felony eluding, DUI and a suspended driver's license.

Post Falls police joined the pursuit at 6 p.m. after it was reported in Spokane County. Campbell, driving a Mitsubishi Eclipse, avoided two sets of spike strips. The chase reached 100 mph on I-90 before Campbell took the 15th Street exit in Coeur d'Alene.

The chase went southbound on 15th Street to Coeur d'Alene Avenue and the area of 23rd. It ended in the parking lot of Port of Hope, where Campbell was arrested without incident.

School to host Fall Family Jamboree

POST FALLS - Cornerstone Christian Academy will hold its Fall Family Jamboree from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday at 810 N. Chase Road.

Tickets are $7 per person for events until 5 p.m. or $12 for all day and evening concerts by Jeremy McComb and Keesy Timmer.

Activities include face painting, a jump house, science demonstrations, karaoke contest, live music and game booths. Food will be available.

Tickets can be purchased at the school office or at Caruso's Deli on Saturday.
