Dustin Johnson blasted a tee shot over the trees and into the fairway on the 17th hole at Cog Hill to set up a tap-in birdie and he closed with a 2-under 69 for a one-shot victory over Paul Casey at the PGA BMW Championship in Lemont, Ill.

Tiger Woods shot 70 to tie for 15th, not nearly enough to move into the top 30 in the standings.

• Taiwan's Yani Tseng won the LPGA Northwest Arkansas Championship in Rogers. Ark., shooting a 6-under 65 to rally past Michelle Wie.

• Russ Cochran won Champions Tour the Songdo Championship in Incheon, South Korea, beating Fred Funk with a birdie on the first playoff hole.

Basketball

Sue Bird made a tiebreaking jumper from the foul line with 2.6 seconds left and the host Seattle Storm beat the Atlanta Dream 79-77 in Game 1 of the WNBA finals.

Correction

Kyler Dunn returned a blocked punt for a touchdown for Coeur d'Alene High in Saturday night's game vs. Skyview in Vancouver, Wash. Dunn was misidentified in Sunday's Press.
