Police: Nampa man dies after stabbing

NAMPA - Nampa police say a 27-year-old Nampa man died Saturday morning after being stabbed and investigators are asking anyone with information to come forward.Police say Moses Ibarra died at Mercy Medical Center shortly after the facility notified authorities Ibarra was being treated at the emergency room.

Police say they responded to a disturbance at a Nampa home at 1:37 a.m. and were investigating when they received the report from Mercy Medical.

Middleton teen dies after being struck by pickup

MIDDLETON - Idaho State Police say a 15-year-old Middleton High School student has died after being struck by a pickup while walking to school.Police say Colton Mackey died about 1:40 a.m. Saturday. He was hit Friday at about 7:30 a.m. in a crosswalk and taken to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

An 89-year-old Caldwell man was driving the pickup. Officials say glare from the rising sun may have been a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.The Idaho Statesman reports that police say the crash is still under investigation.

Body recovered from pickup that went into lake

BOISE - Crews have recovered the body of a 31-year-old Boise man from a pickup truck that had plunged into Lucky Peak Reservoir in southwestern Idaho.

Ada County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Andrea Dearden says witnesses saw the truck go off a bridge and into the water Thursday night.Divers on Friday located the truck in 45 feet of water and used equipment to float it to the surface, then crews towed it to Spring Shores marina where it was removed.

The man was the only person inside the vehicle. His name will be released after family is notified.The death is being investigated but foul plan isn't suspected.
