ICBA congratulates bankcda

The Independent Community Bankers of America said bankcda in Coeur d'Alene has now been a member for a decade.

"As an ICBA member, bankcda is proud to be part of a nationwide network of community banks that advocate on behalf of community banks and their customers," said Max Faller, president of bankcda.

"bankcda looks forward to continuing its role with ICBA to help strengthen and preserve the franchise value of community banks across the country," Faller said.

bankcda has branch locations at 912 Northwest Blvd., in Coeur d'Alene, and 200 W. Honeysuckle Ave., in Hayden.

ICBA is a national organization that serves the 8,000 community banks in the U.S.

Dickson to facilitate investment discussion

D.A. Davidson & Co. is hosting an investment discussion called "Dealing with the New Normal Economic Realities" next week. The public is invited.

The session will be facilitated by Fred Dickson, senior vice president and chief market strategist for D.A. Davidson & Co., who is a nationally recognized equity market strategist. The discussion starts at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, in the Spokesman-Review Building, first floor conference room, 608 Northwest Blvd., in Coeur d'Alene.

Dickson is regularly featured on CNBC, Bloomberg and Reuters and in the Wall Street Journal. His presentation will be followed by discussion and questions.

Free financial seminars to be held

Marcheso and Associates, Financial Advisors, located at 320 E. Neider Ave., in Coeur d'Alene, is hosting what it calls free "Lunch and Learn" seminars every Wednesday.

The seminar-lunches are intended to provide information to the public about Roth IRA conversions, 401(k) management and other topics. They run from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m.

On Wednesday, Sept. 15, the seminar topic will be "special needs trusts," which are trusts designed for long-term financial support for those with special needs due to physical or mental issues. The half-hour seminar will be led by local attorney Brian Simpson.
