Avista announces grants

COEUR d'ALENE - The Avista Foundation announced grants made for the third quarter of 2010. The North Idaho College Foundation received a grant of $4,400 to help fund a welder to be used in the college's Workforce Training Center.

Daugharty named to

Idaho State Bar Board

The Idaho State Bar Board of Commissioners has named Coeur d'Alene attorney Paul Daugharty as a new member.

Daugharty was elected by bar members in the First and Second Judicial Districts.

Daugharty is a solo practitioner. He earned his law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law, and was admitted to the Idaho State Bar in 1992. He also has been admitted in Washington.

In Idaho, he has served on the Idaho Volunteer Lawyers Program Committee since 2001.

Commissioners serve three-year terms and oversee programs and functions of the Idaho State Bar.

Organizing Professionals arrange free presentation

The Organizing Professionals of the Inland Northwest have organized a free presentation titled "Back to School and Stress-Free Holidays."

There will be a panel discussion on "getting your child's room organized - back to school the organized way." The panel discussion will cover "pay for Christmas - sell your clutter," and "holidays just around the corner and getting you down - get organized for stress-free holidays."

The free presentation will be from 1-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15 at the Unity Church of North Idaho, at 4465 N. 15th St., in Coeur d'Alene.

Pre-registration by Monday, Sept. 13.

Cowan joins Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty

Reshel Cowan joined Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty in August. She moved from Windermere/Coeur d'Alene Realty Inc. and will be Coldwell Banker real estate agent Brian Guswiler's real estate assistant. They have teamed up as ColdwellBankerCDA, and are located at 1964 Northwest Blvd., in Coeur d'Alene. ColdwellBankerCDA is a division of Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty.

Cowan has more than eight years experience in the real estate industry handling advertising, marketing and property and agent photography. She has just obtained her real estate license.

Windermere Realty selected to represent Hart Place

The Brewster Companies announced that Windermere Coeur d'Alene Realty has been selected to represent Hart Place, a new "boutique" neighborhood in Post Falls.

"Owner John Brewster has worked in the building industry for 50 years and is passionate about creating unique Idaho neighborhoods that will stand the test of time," according to a press release.

Hart Place offers Energy Star certified homes priced from $149,000 to $195,000. Hart Place is located on the corner of Poleline Avenue and Greensferry Road, and the model is open Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.
