BASKETBALL

Spokane Stars camp: The Spokane Stars AAU girls basketball club begins its weekly skills camp on Sunday at Global Fitness, 14210 E. Sprague in Spokane Valley.

Level 1 (kindergarten through fourth grade) is from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m; Level 2 (grades 5-7) is from 12:30 to 2 p.m.; and Level 3 (grades 8-12) is from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Classes are held each Sunday, and cost $20 per session. Players are asked to bring their own basketball.

JV SOCCER

Timberwolves split with Bulldogs: Cody Hocking scored on an assist from Austin Maldonado early in the second half as Lake City's boys won at Sandpoint 1-0. Dylan Shapland had seven saves in posting the shutout in goal.

Five days later, Sandpoint won 5-1 at Lake City. Marko Campbell scored on an assist from Nick Wells for the T-Wolves' lone goal.

Seventh-grade division

Raiders 26, Seahawks 12: Raiders quarterback Jakob Lynn completed 4 of 6 passes for 72 yards and three touchdowns - two to Jacob Horton and one to James Kile. Kile also rushed for a touchdown.

Raiders linebacker Austin Lee had an interception, and defensive end Shaun Haskin had five tackles for loss.

COEUR d'ALENE RECREATION DEPARTMENT

Indoor swim lessons: The next session of indoor swim lessons sponsored by the Coeur d'Alene Recreation Department and held at the McGrane Center will begin Sept. 20. Classes are held on Monday evenings for six weeks.

Registration is taking place beginning today until classes fill at the Coeur d'Alene Recreation Department office, 710 Mullan Avenue. Registration numbers are limited. Cost is $36.
