PROJECT: Meth lesson is for all

| September 8, 2010 10:00 PM

I was very excited when I found out that my entry won second place in Kootenai County for the Paint the State ID Meth Project.

When I first heard about the project, I thought: "What a great idea to increase public awareness about the frightening threat that meth represents, and to warn people in a variety of ways so they make a firm decision to never try it, not even once."

I love art, and have often been told that the gift I have should be used to benefit people. The ID Meth Project gave me a chance to contribute to the cause; and perhaps, impact people's lives in a positive way.

I hope that the combined efforts of all the contestants serves the purpose: "To keep people from trying it, not even once!" If the event is deemed successfully, it would be neat if Idaho would do this again next year, and the years to follow.

I would consider it a privilege to participate again and hope the word gets out about the program.
