| September 8, 2010 2:22 PM

Jefferey "Jeff" Moore, 52, of Coeur d'Alene, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Jeff was born in Bonners Ferry on Dec. 13, 1957, to Yvonne Egeberg Moore Buffin and Jim Moore.

It was in this small town that Jeff developed a love for the outdoors. In eighth grade his family moved to Coeur d'Alene and Jeff graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School in 1976. His definition of the good life included fishing, motorcycle riding, camping and travelling. A simple drive would easily encompass hundreds of miles on many back roads.

Jeff was a jack of all trades and a master of anything he attempted. His employment path included working on the oil rigs in Wyoming, mill work in St. Maries, United Powder Coating, auto mechanic and RV repair.

He was a modern day McGyver, and his ability to repair anything will be missed by all. While on his many drives Jeff became an angel to many stranded travelers. In 1987 Jeff married Suzanne Robertson, the love of his life. They enjoyed camping, travelling and loving on their dog children. Their hearts and lives remained woven together until his passing. Throughout his illness Jeff was loving cared for in the home of his brother Tony Moore and Shelley Pentland.

Jeff was preceded in death by his stepfather, Gene Buffin and his mother, Yvonne Buffin.

Survivors include Suzanne Robertson (Suzie's Hound House); brother Tony Moore and Shelley Pentland; sister Michelle Moore Sorensen and Troy Sorensen; brother Gene Buffin and Kim Buffin; nephews Cody Moore, Gage Sorensen; niece Hana Sorensen; father Jim Moore and stepmother Barbara Moore and step siblings Kim Dixson and Mike Walker.

The family would like to thank Dr. Tezcan and Sue of Kootenai Cancer Center as well as Hospice of North Idaho and their wonderful caregivers, especially Cindy.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, that The North Country Chapel, 2281 W. Seltice in Post Falls (the Stone Chapel).
