Hauser watershed coalition to hold poker run fundraiser

HAUSER - The Hauser Lake Watershed Coalition's annual poker run fundraiser will be held on Saturday starting at 10:30 a.m.

The $20 registration includes a barbecue lunch, a raffle ticket and a chance to win up to $100.

Registration is at the Lakeview Inn/Thirsty Moose Saloon (formerly the Rainbow Inn) at 11301 Cliffhouse Road in Hauser.

Participants can walk, bike, drive or boat to the other five scheduled stops where they pick up cards and receive information about the lake.

Chances to win first ($100) underwritten by Matheus Lumber, second ($50) or third ($25) from best of a five-card poker hand of the six cards received is the object of the game. You must be 18 to play, but children are welcome.

The barbecue will be served from 12:30-2 p.m. Cost of the barbecue if bought separately from the poker run registration is $5.

Entertainment provided by Hammertime Karaoke and D.J. Services. Announcement of the winners of the poker run, the raffle and silent auction will start at 1:30 p.m.

This year's raffle prizes include gift certificates to the Chef in the Forest, two pallets of wood pellets from Atlas Products, two Silverwood passes for 2011, gift certificates from Hauser Smoke Shop, Curley's, Orvis Northwest Outfitters, Findlay Hyundai/Mazada, Kirk's Expresso, Polly's Parlor and several other Rathdrum and Post Falls businesses.

Raffle tickets are $1, six for $5 or 13 for $10.

A silent auction has been added to the fundraiser.
