Comment still possible

If Kootenai County residents have something to say about the Coeur d'Alene Lake Management Plan, they still have a chance.

The Coeur d'Alene Tribe and Idaho Department of Environmental Quality are encouraging folks to fill out an online survey about the lake management document, in order to gauge how much locals know about the plan.

The roughly 10-minute long survey consists of questions about the plan itself, and how folks think the lake should be managed.

Responses will be used to organize a public outreach education program on the lake plan, said Rebecca Stevens, lake management restoration coordinator for the Coeur d'Alene Tribe.

"Let your voice be heard," Stevens said. "This is part of a public service effort. Any information received through this won't be used for any purpose other than public outreach related to the lake."

The survey can be filled out at www.cdalakesurvey.com. The survey is open through Sept. 30.

Hard copies are not available, Stevens said, but many already had the chance to share in face-to-face interviews and phone surveys.
