A 48-year-old Coeur d’Alene man died Sunday morning at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane from injuries he received in a car accident early Saturday in Newman Lake, authorities said.

Donald R. Crum was seriously injured and hospitalized after being ejected from his vehicle in the 1:15 a.m. accident.

The Washington State Patrol said Crum was westbound on Trent Avenue near Starr Road when he went off the north side of the roadway. He overcorrected and the vehicle, a 2002 Hyundai Accent, rolled and he was ejected, police said.

He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. He was taken by MedStar to Sacred Heart. He died at 7:44 a.m. Sunday.
