BSU: Don't use taxes for football

I'm excited for the Boise State football stadium expansion plans announced Friday, Aug. 27, but I hope athletic director Gene Bleymaier and head coach Chris Peterson don't plan on raising any funds through an appeal to the state legislature.

Educators in the great state of Idaho have already taken a reduction in pay and benefits in a majority of school districts where class sizes have all boomed, and they don't need teacher salaries and benefits to take a further financial hit in coming years. I would encourage BSU to raise all the funds on their Football Wish List from private donors and other means.
