"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." 1 Cor 13:13.

Marie Ellen Hollibaugh, 74, from Coeur d'Alene, formerly from Orofino, Wash., passed on to Heaven on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at Kootenai Medical, The Circle of Life.

She was born Aug. 3, 1936, in Headquarters. Marie and her parents, Andrew and Maybelle Kern lived in Orofino. She graduated from Orofino High and worked for several years for the U.S. Forest Service and she was also your friendly Avon representative.

Marie married Roger E. Hollibaugh Sr. on May 25, 1960. They raised their family of four children: Julie, Roger, Lisa and Christie.

Marie's top priority in her life was her family and children. Everything she did was for her kids. Her biggest delight was planning Christmas. She started buying gifts in January for the upcoming holiday. She loved cooking and making huge meals for the family. Marie had a green thumb and would grow beautiful plants and flowers. She had a beautiful heart and soul and would never forget a birthday, holiday or anniversary. Her life was about giving to her family and others. Marie had a strong faith in God and she was ready to go home and be with the Lord and watch over all of us.

Marie is survived by Dave and Julie McElfish, Roger Jr., Lisa, granddaughter- Cortney, Christie and Tom Wargi, Roger Sr. and many other family and friends.

A funeral will not be held but we ask that donations could be made to the Heart Association or a Diabetes Foundation.

Marie left this world surrounded by love and giving her children insightful, spiritual wisdom. She left us with love... "The most important thing in life is to learn how to give out love and to let it come in." ~Mitch Albom.

Mom... we wouldn't want anyone but you, and that is why we are so grateful that God picked you for us... May your gentle soul rest in peace.
