Cd'A Chess Club offers free lessons Saturday

| September 2, 2010 9:00 PM

The Coeur d'Alene Chess Club will meet at the Coeur d'Alene Public Library from noon to 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Everyone is welcome to attend the meetings, and the club will be providing free chess lessons for beginners, and opponents for those wishing to play chess.

Also, as an incentive to register and join the club, it will be giving away collectible wheat pennies and foreign coins during the month of September to all new players.

The club is planning a United States Chess Federation Tournament later this month as well. If you want to attend, please bring pen or pencil and paper, chess sets and timers if you have them.

The club will also meet Saturday, Sept. 11 noon to 3:30 at the library.
