Norris eighth at Sunfair meet
CROSS COUNTRY
YAKIMA, Wash. — Coeur d’Alene senior David Norris placed eighth in 15 minutes, 58.2 seconds in the 49-runner elite varsity race at the Sunfair Invitational at Franklin Park.
In other races, Coeur d’Alene junior Kyle Cummings was ninth in the fourth boys flight in 16:53.2; sophomore Andrew Reagan was seventh in the third boys flight in 16:59.1 and Sarah Stone was in the second girls flight in 20:54.2.
George, Callister triumph
COEUR d’ALENE — Timberlake’s Ashly George won the girls race at the Coeur d’Alene Charter Invitational in 23 minutes, 56 seconds on Friday at Pinkerton Ranch.
Jacob Callister of Bonners Ferry won the boys race in 20:32, eight seconds ahead of Badger teammate Micah Krmpotich.
