HATRED: Religions all share blame
While I was truly able to appreciate Bob Holiday's historical discussion of Islamic violence, Hans Neumann falls into the trap of trying to argue that because Muslims do this or Muslims do that; by implication, Christianity is far more superior to the Islamic faith. I'm afraid I'd have to disagree with Neumann, all religions permit violence as all men desire a god (or gods) to give them justification for such behavior inclusive of warfare as Holiday discussed about the Islamic faith. If Neumann were to look at the history of Christianity; he would find enough Christian created horrors to equal that of Islam at its most extreme at any time. But of course, for Neumann, that would never do.
So, the questions that I have for Neumann is this, how would you know if you have met Christ if you are in denial about the facts and the truth? And further, when frothing over another person's opinion because of how disagreeable it is to you; when was the last time you understood that biblical messages applied to yourself? David Connacher could indeed be wrong in the opinion that he had published, but neither are you any more right.
