Ruth P. Peterson, 83

Ruth P. Peterson, 83, of Dalton Gardens, passed away Nov. 23, 2010.

Ruth was born May 24, 1927, in Kornwestheim, Germany, the daughter of late Heinrich Schuster and Pauline Jung. She was their only daughter of five children and had four brothers Heiner, Albert, Hermann and Eugen.

Ruth worked at the Post Café in Post Falls for years as well as Keytronics in the Spokane Valley.

Ruth was married to the love of her life Clyde J. Peterson in 1982 and spent 16 wonderful years with him traveling, gardening and visiting with family. Ruth had a love for life and a heart of Gold. Ruth was well known for her hugs and kisses and wasn't afraid to dish them out at the grocery store or the doctor's office. Ruth would make friends wherever she visited.

Ruth is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Brenda Macklin of Beulah, N.D.; her grandchildren, Chris and Karen Macklin, Atlanta Macklin, Jesse Macklin, Billie Jo Brown, Shanna Brost and Jared Moore; and her great-grandchildren, Tyler Macklin, Jaden Brown, Chloe Brown and Tryce Brost.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde J. Peterson; her parents and all of her siblings.

Ruth was a wonderful woman and a best friend to many. She will be truly missed but never forgotten.

A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at English Funeral Chapel, 1700 N. Spokane St., Post Falls. All friends and family are welcome. There will be a potluck reception after the service. The internment and another memorial will take place at a later date in Golden Valley, N.D.
