Press winter sports special section inside today's paper

The Press' annual winter sports special section, highlighting local high school and North Idaho College basketball and wrestling teams, is scheduled to be inserted in today's newspaper.

Cardinal teams home tonight to face All-Stars

The North Idaho College women's basketball team climbed from 14th to third in the latest NJCAA basketball poll released on Wednesday.

NIC (8-0) returns home tonight to face the Idaho All-Stars at 5:30 p.m., followed by the top-ranked NIC men (8-0) against the North Idaho All-Stars at 7:30.

The school will offer free admission to either game with a donation to the Special Olympics at tonight's games.

Lake City Masters swimmers shine at Sandpoint meet

SANDPOINT - The Lake City/Kroc Masters had 12 members participate at the Pumpkin Power Masters Swim Meet on Nov. 13.

The 12 swimmers from the Coeur d'Alene area established 10 individual Inland Northwest Masters records and four relay records.

Results are as follows:

Mary Adams: first in 100-yard backstroke and 400 individual medley, second in 50 freestyle and third in the 50 butterfly; TinaMarie Bell: first in the 50 freestyle, 50 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke; second in 400 freestyle; Cindy Clutter: first in the 400 freestyle, 800 freestyle, 50 breaststroke and 100 breaststroke; Todd Clory: first in 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 50 breaststroke and 50 butterfly; Margaret Hair: first in 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 50 backstroke, 100 breaststroke and 50 butterfly; Mike Hamm: first in 50 backstroke, 100 backstroke, 50 breaststroke, 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke; Lana Lawrence: first in 400 freestyle, 50 backstroke, 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke and 100 butterfly; Carol Nelson: first in 400 freestyle, 800 freestyle, 200 breastroke and second in 100 breaststroke; Aida Patterson: first in 400 freestyle, second in 800 freestyle, 50 backstroke, 50 butterfly and 100 individual medley; Heather Riviere: first in 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 50 backstroke, 100 backstroke and second in the 50 freestyle; Stephanie Swainston: first in 50 breaststroke, 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke; and Rob Urbaniak: first in 200 freestyle, third in 100 freestyle and fourth in 50 freestyle.
