Two arrested on drug, weapon charges

Law Enforcement agencies working through the North Idaho Violent Crimes Task Force arrested a man and a woman for a variety of crimes and cleared 13 cases for three local agencies.

Justin Christian, 39, of Kellogg, was booked into the Kootenai County jail on charges of felon in possession of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine, possession of stolen property, seven counts of burglary and six counts of fraudulent use of a financial transaction card

Amanda Dawn Erickson, 24, of Coeur d'Alene, was booked into jail on charges of possession of stolen property, four counts of burglary and four counts of fraudulent use of a financial transaction card.

Earlier this month, investigators from the NIVCTF served multiple search warrants recovering stolen property that included televisions, DVD surround sound systems, video gaming systems, clothing, power tools, check books and credit cards.

The NIVCTF is made up of investigators from the F.B.I., Kootenai County Sheriff's Office, Coeur d'Alene Police Department, Post Falls Police Department, Coeur d'Alene Tribal Police, Shoshone County Sheriff's Office, and the Bonner County Sheriff's Office.
