Richard Khachadoorian, 78

Richard Khachadoorian, 78, died of a stroke on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010. Richard was born Sept. 6, 1932, in Massachusetts.

Richard passed away just four months after he lost the love of his life, his wife Betty Jane Khachadoorian. Richard and Betty were married on September 4, 1971. They moved to Idaho from California in 1990. Richard loved automobiles, and kept them in immaculate condition. He also collected watches and model cars. All their married life Richard and Betty had dogs and cats. They also loved to travel in their RV. Richard was the kind of person that when you met him, you felt as though you had known him for years.

Richard is survived by his daughter Jennifer Ann Butigan, son-in-law George Andrew Butigan, and grandchildren Andrew Paul Butigan and Courtney Ann Butigan, and more friends than can be counted. Among those that will miss him are John and Rickie Ritterbach, Jim and Pat Connell, Ann and Brad Bradford, Jim and Linda McLaughlin, George and Beverly Wilson, Bruce and Tina Eckhardt, Bob and Beverly McSherry, and Wally and Hope Connally, all of Hayden.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Naseer Ahmad and Dr. Thomas Neal. Richard counted them as his friends as well as his doctors. He loved all the RN's and CNA's at the Kootenai Cancer Center. Richard will be missed by all those he touched, and that is a lot of people. No services are to be held. The family requests that in lieu of a service donations may be made to Hospice of North Idaho or the Kootenai Cancer Center in his name.
