THANKS: A poem for your pleasure

| November 24, 2010 9:01 AM

It's that time once again,

When we gather together.

To share in the bounty

Before the truly cold weather.

And with such a preamble,

and inspired verse,

I proffer this wish,

Surely not the worse.

May your gathering be joyful,

Your family not fight.

May the food be bountiful,

And your pants not too tight.

Give thanks for your blessings,

No matter how ‘mixed' they may be.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving,

To all of you from me.
