SANDPOINT - North Idaho anglers are atop the standings in the Lake Pend Oreille Club's annual Thanksgiving derby.

Roy Stokes took the lead in the adult rainbow trout standings on Saturday with a 15-pound, 13-ounce fish that was 33 inches long. Dave Ivy of Sagle holds the lead in the lake trout standings with a 10-pound, 2-ounce Mackinaw that measured 32 inches.

Ivy moved into second place in the rainbow standings on Sunday after hauling in a 13-pound, 12-ounce trout that was 31 inches long. Marc Torre of Spokane is in third with a 12-pound, 15-ounce rainbow that was 30 inches. Dustin Bender of Spokane Valley rounded out the rainbow standings with a 9-pounder that was 28 inches.

Scott Plue of Sandpoint is in second place in the Mackinaw standings with a 9-pound, 8-ounce laker that measured 30 inches. Garry Doseburg of West Haven, Utah, is in third with a 3-pounder and W. Scott Miller is in fourth with a 1-pound lake trout.

Collin Ingram of West Haven leads the eight-and-under youth division with a 1-pound, 6-ounce rainbow trout. No fish have been weighed in yet for the nine-to-13-year-old youth division.

There were no changes in the derby standings as of Monday.

"It was a very nasty day weather-wise with very few boats venturing out to fish. The weather has become a major concern and will probably limit the number of fisherman for the next couple days," said Dave Gillespie of LPOIC.
