Plumlee sparks No. 1 Duke over Marquette

Mason Plumlee scored a career-high 25 points had 12 rebounds and six blocks to lead No. 1 Duke to an 82-77 victory over Marquette in the semifinals of the CBE Classic on Monday night in Kansas City, Mo.

The Blue Devils (4-0) took a 23-9 lead with 11:15 to play in the first half. Duke was still ahead 40-31 at halftime but the Golden Eagles (4-1) were able to tie the game three times but never took the lead.

No. 2 Michigan St. 82, Chaminade 74: At Lahaina, Hawaii, Kalin Lucas had 28 points, Korie Lucious added 13 and the Spartans (3-0) held off the Silverswords (3-1).

No. 8 Kentucky 76, Oklahoma 64: At Lahaina, Hawaii, freshman Terrence Jones dominated inside on his way to 29 points and 13 rebounds, and the Wildcats (3-0) held off scrappy Oklahoma (3-1) in the first round of the Maui Invitational.

No. 12 Baylor 72, Lipscomb 60: At Waco, Texas, LaceDarius Dunn scored 24 points with seven 3-pointers in his season debut and Baylor (4-0) topped Lipscomb (2-2).

No. 18 San Diego State 77, Miami (Ohio) 56: At Oxford, Ohio, Kawhi Leonard had another double-double, and the Aztecs (5-0) turned up its defensive pressure and used two crushing scoring runs to pull away from Miami of Ohio (2-3).
