Ethan Huy Newman, 3 months, 9 days

Ethan Huy Newman, 3 months and 9 days, passed away on Nov. 19, 2010. He spent a week after his birth at Kootenai Medical Center and was then transferred to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane on Aug. 18, 2010. He was the 25th grandchild of Khai and first grandchild of Rosie.

Ethan was born on Aug. 10, 2010, to Sam and Linh (Le) Newman of Hayden. Along with his parents he is survived by his grandparents Khai Tran Le and "Rosie" Newman of Coeur d'Alene; second grandfather Richard Yeend; uncles, David Newman and Pho Le; aunts, Nga Nguyen, My Thornton, Phap Le and Yen Le; 24 cousins and five great-cousins.

Ethan is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Nhan Ba Le on Aug. 9, 2006, and Charles Edward Newman on Feb. 7, 1992.

He stayed strong for his mommy and daddy.

He showed strength and courage to all that cared for him.

He was so lovable that people were drawn to him.

Memorials may be made to Hayden Friends Church, Ronald McDonald House in Spokane, Wash, or The Tree of Hope at Panhandle State Bank.

A visitation was held Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, at English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d'Alene. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, at Hayden Friends Church, 251 West Miles Ave., Hayden Lake. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Coeur d'Alene.
