Lester Edward Thomas, 81

Lester Edward Thomas, 81, passed away Nov. 20, 2010, in Post Falls. He was born May 20, 1929, to Lester and Faye (McGill) Thomas in Harrington, Wash.

Lester served in WWII and the Korean War as a radio operator. He was awarded the victory medal and Occupational medal for his service time.

He worked as a truck driver for Silver Loaf Bread Co. and Dairy Gold. Lester was a member of American Legion, Eagles and Elks. He loved playing golf and shooting pool.

Lester married Dottie Thomas in 1986 in Yakima, Wash.

He is survived by his wife, Dottie; stepsons Bob Hinote and Doug (Lori) Hinote; and grandchildren Emily and Jonathan Hinote.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Marg Lamance.

Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, at English Funeral Chapel, 1700 N. Spokane St., Post Falls.
