WEALTH: Share and share alike

Responding to Del Cameron's Letter to the Editor recently, wherein he seems to support the concept of redistributing the wealth of those who have resources in a society to those who don't, I believe I have the perfect solution for him.

I don't know Del's own personal financial position, but if we can assume for this discussion that he might have more than some of the homeless people in the world, why not simply have the government confiscate his money, savings, stocks, pension, car, home, or whatever else he might have, and provide it to those who lack these things? In fact, why not divvy up everything held by those who believe in this, redistribute their resources, whether vast or modest, according to the needs of others? All registered Democrats could then finally feel good about themselves for a change!
